My beautiful Cody came here to Kalnovitch as a member of the much widely anticipated "Silvertips Secret 7" litter in 2003.  This same litter produced one Grand Champion (also a Specialty BIS Winner) and two other Champion boys (one of them also a Specialty BIS Winner). Cody stepped foot in the ring as a baby puppy (winning back to back in show awards) and never looked back, winning countless Puppy/Reserve of Group awards.  He was a multi qualifier for the 2004 Pal Puppy Supreme awards.  Cody also won at Best of Group level, and did quite well at the specialties as well, winning Dog CC and RBIS under Debbie Parker in 2005.

Cody is now semi-retired, his exuberance and zest for life and being out in the showring made showing him always quite the grand event.  He gets soooo excited that he just couldn't possibly keep all four feet on the ground, or couldn't possibly show without his "crouching tiger, hidden dragon" act where he crouches slightly, before jumping all over me or leaping off to race me around the ring! Showing Cody is always rather theatrical, full of big "Cody sighs", full of screaming ringside if I am handling another dog.  Judges either found his exuberance quite charming and they loved it, or they didn't find him that amusing at all! 

Cody sired a litter to Kaitlyn (BISS RBISS CH Kursharn Nova Kaitlyn), producing Nessie (CH Kalnovitch Ultra Wicked Ness) and Teddy (Kalnovitch The Wicked Sinner).  Both progeny have had some great success in the ring, and both definitely carry the "Cody stamp".

Cody's theatrics extend to home life as well.  He is extremely well behaved, but there are days when Cody just doesn't feel like doing what he is told.  He will grudgingly do whatever he is told though, usually complete with a "Cody sigh" - the "oh what a chore, what a chore" sigh!  Cody races me to the shower each morning, and Cody tries to stick like glue to me when I am home.  I think that Cody believes that if he lived in a world of just moi and him, it would all be just wonderful.  I am sure it would too, there certainly wouldn't be any dull moments! 

I am so extremely grateful that Jude McCormick of Silvertips allowed this gorgeous boy to come to me.  I love Cody to bits and could never imagine being without him!
